served at the Embassy of Italy in Cairo. Then posted to the Permanent Representation of Italy to the European Union in Brussels. Upon return to Rome in 2004 assigned to the Coordination Unit of the Secretariat General

2007 – 2013

posted at the Embassy of Italy in Washington, D.C. Upon returning to Italy, appointed Head of the Afghanistan Unit at the Directorate General for Political Affairs

In January 2014

promoted to the rank of Minister Plenipotentiary. Subsequently, appointed Principal Director for European Integration and later assumed the position of Deputy Director General for the European Union

assumed office as Ambassador of Italy to Albania
